Richard Weissman is an attorney, licensed in the State of California and before the U. S. Supreme Court Bar, with forty-six (46) years of practice experience. He is a shareholder in the law firm of Richard Weissman, Inc., A Professional Corporation. 

Mr. Weissman has served as a receiver, partition referee, provisional director, Special Master and stipulated fiduciary in over 600 cases in state and federal courts throughout California, and nationally in other United States District Courts. His court appointments were in Business, Family Law, Probate, and Real Estate actions, and Federal and State regulatory cases involving myriad businesses and real and personal property assets. His vast and varied experience has enabled him to untangle and resolve complicated matters for the benefit of the courts, creditors, regulatory agencies, consumers and private litigating parties.  


Mr. Weissman’s expertise is in administering and litigating complex receivership matters such as dissolutions of law firms, dental and medical practices, business shareholder/partner dissolutions, and managing and selling all forms of businesses and real property (both pre-judgment and post-judgment) in private party litigation and in regulatory enforcement actions brought by the Federal Trade Commission, the California Department of Corporations, the Securities and Exchange Commission, District Attorneys and City Attorneys, and California Department of Consumer Affairs. Assets recovered, managed and sold include general tangible and intangible assets (intellectual property, good will), etc., ranging from Arabian show horses to a coal mine. Mr. Weissman is nationally recognized in both the commercial and real estate litigation communities as eminently qualified to preserve, manage and maintain and sell high value operating assets such as hotels/motels, manufacturing plants and retail businesses, restaurants, cocktail lounges and bars, liquor licenses, music and film copyrights and licenses, commercial and multifamily residential income properties, etc.
