There are many scenarios and situations that can limit proportionally the fitness, capacity and competency of a professional in an international dispute resolution proceeding. Those limitations might be sporadic, temporary or permanent and might also increase or decrease during the timeframe of a case. Limitations might be caused by a diagnosis like dementia and other diseases that diminish the neurological or mental capacity. There are other causes like mental health, medication, addiction and others. Faculty will discuss a range of these causes that might arise in an dispute resolution proceeding and how to effectively provide a balanced, fair, civil and compassionate solution.
