As nationwide legalization of cannabis draws near, new opportunities and risks present themselves to cannabis companies and the businesses interested in engaging with the industry. Understanding the legal nuances of recreational and medical cannabis at both the federal and state levels is critical to successfully navigate this growing industry.

In this program we will discuss the current lay of the land regarding where it’s legal, where it’s not, and what that means to lawyers, cannabis clients, and non-cannabis businesses who may want to do business within the industry.

We will also go over the big issues facing the cannabis industry and the type of work lawyers can do in the cannabis space.

Finally, we will help you to learn the lingo so that you know what to say when interacting with people in the industry.

If cannabis is legal where you practice, chances are your practice can serve the industry’s needs. This is a “must attend” program so you can “talk the talk” and “walk the walk” when it comes pitching prospective clients in or serving this industry.
