This fall, the United Kingdom began enforcing its Age Appropriate Design Code, a series of principles to guide compliance with its Data Protection Act with respect to not only children’s privacy, but digital wellbeing as well. This webinar will cover:
an outline of the principles required by the Code;
how the United Kingdom’s Information Commissioner’s Office has interpreted the principles; and,
the Code’s legal status with respect to the United Kingdom’s Data Protection Act.
This webinar will also compare the Code with other children’s privacy laws and evaluate its impact on United States domestic policy. Finally, the session will close with a review of steps toward complying with the Code.
