Every year new laws are promulgated in the world of Criminal Law. This year is no different; effective January 1, 2022, there will be several changes to the practice of criminal law that we must all be aware of and deal with. Among the changes this year include expansion of Penal Code section 1385 and reduction of high-term sentences.
