This presentation discusses the comprehensive set of newRules of Professional Conduct that were approved by the CaliforniaSupreme Court on May 10, 2018. These 69 new Rules, which went into effecton November 1, 2018, replaced the 46 Rules of ProfessionalConduct that previously governed the conduct of attorneys in California. This presentation focuses on those Rules that implement controversialor important changes to the current Rules or impose new obligations inCalifornia. All attorneys in the State should be aware of these changes.
