Ethics Issues in Real Estate Developments or Business Transactions
The webinar will examine ethics issues that occur in complex real estate developments or business transactions related to conflicts of interest, advance waivers, engagement letter, scope of representation, identifying the client and other on-going ethical issues. The panel members will discuss the on-going ethical obligations as the transactions evolve through changed business structures and/or parties. Although focused from a transactional perspective, the panel will also cover issues related to litigation. The panel will include a review of the applicable California Rules of Professional Conduct, the State Bar Act and recent case law.
