Symposium on Virtual & Hybrid Trial Proceedings: Successful Virtual Communication
Law Practice Management & Technology Section; Solo & Small Firm Section
This course provides attorneys – both from law firms and those inside of legal departments – with an in-depth understanding of how they can utilize virtual communication to its fullest potential when running a remote or semi-remote law practice. From representing clients to managing cases to appearing in court, much of the day-to-day operations of a law firm are happening virtually. The course is designed to help attorneys excel at video communications whether it’s a new business pitch, leading a virtual client meeting, hosting a webinar, or conducting hearings, depositions and even trials online. The program will address:
Managing a virtual law practice, including remote hearings, mediations and more.
Making a successful virtual first impression, including technical considerations to maximize your remote setup.
Virtual strategic communication: Crafting a winning message and focusing on delivery.
Presentation skills: Looking the part and communicating effectively.
State of the media during the COVID-19 pandemic, and tools to work with the media as part of your business development efforts.
