Marijuana convictions have impacted the ability of the formally convicted and incarcerated, to get jobs, housing, access to credit, loss of voting rights, etc.  This seminar will address getting marijuana convictions expunged and release from unfair and long prison/jail sentences in jurisdictions that have not yet changed their laws. Are the African American and Latino communities, after being locked up for marijuana offenses, now being locked out of opportunities that flow from the legalization of marijuana in the areas of owning legal marijuana dispensaries, cultivation, financial investments, and federal prohibition?
