The Hon. Elizabeth Feffer and Everett L. Green will discuss the alter ego doctrine and the appropriate and inappropriate uses of the doctrine, pleading requirements, and strategies to minimize the risk of alter ego liability.

Hon. Elizabeth Feffer
Judge Elizabeth Feffer served on the Los Angeles Superior Court for 13 years before entering into alternative dispute resolution and serving as a private judge. Judge Feffer presided over more than 75 civil jury trials, more than 500 civil bench trials, hundreds of evidentiary hearings, and numerous settlement conferences, with a diverse range of complex factual and legal issues. Judge Feffer specializes in conducting mediations, arbitrations, discovery references, and private trials with ADR Services, Inc. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Feffer served as a partner and trial lawyer litigating civil actions in state and federal court, on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
Everett Green
Everett L. Green currently serves as a senior trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the U.S. Trustee and specializes in bankruptcy matters. Mr. Green graduated with honors in history from U.C. Berkeley and received a juris doctorate from Stanford University, School of Law. Mr. Green currently serves as a senior trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the U.S. Trustee and specializes in bankruptcy matters. Mr. Green clerked for the Honorable Jack B. Schmetterer in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Illinois. He currently serves as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers’ Association and previously served on the Small Business Reorganization Task Force of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
