The seminar will explore effective strategies to use the annual gift tax exclusion to transfer wealth, including direct gifts, gifts to trusts, and best practices when drafting “Crummey” Trusts. In addition to the overview of the use of annual exclusions and the typical use of Crummey Trusts, Agnieszka K. Adams will also explore common drafting mistakes in Crummey Trusts, issues when using the annual exclusion for gifts to grandchildren, and using the annual exclusion for gifts of assets other than cash or marketable securities.
