This program is intended to give the audience the Peruvian’s perspective on the worldwide legal battle for the registration of PISCO as a geographical indication. It will include a summary of the different cases between Peru and Chile tried in India, Thailand, Australia, and the UK and explore the outcomes in the different jurisdictions. We will also summarize the international treaties regulating this IP rights of which Peru is a member.
