    This program will cover the scope of authority granted under powers of attorney; strategies for drafting provisions to meet your clients’ specific needs and to avoid litigation; proper management and administration by agents serving under powers of attorney; and litigation relating to breaches of duties by agents.

    Vivian Thoreen and Stacie Nelson are partners at Holland & Knight and members of Holland & Knight’s Private Wealth Services Group and Dispute Resolution Team. Ms. Thoreen and Ms. Nelson concentrate their practices on contentious trust, estate and conservatorship matters. Their practices include will and trust contests, accounting disputes, breach of fiduciary duty matters, financial elder abuse matters, as well as trust and estate administration. They are both experienced trial attorneys who are dedicated to finding the best resolution for the client, including client counseling, mediation, settlement negotiations and/or trial. Their clients include individuals, families, charities, and professional and institutional fiduciaries. They are also both Fellows of ACTEC.
