    The Inflation Reduction Act along with recent California policies have turbo charged the market for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.  This panel will explore the many ways California is underway electrifying light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles and investing in EV/charging infrastructure.  This panel will lay out the key processes and tools necessary to permit EV charging stations at retail parking lots and for fleet charging.  We will explore California permit streamlining laws and utility regulations governing land use permits and energization.  Panelists will share strategies to expedite permit approvals along with the roles of municipalities and utilities.  Finally, this panel will address how transportation regulation in California can be used to improve access for underserved communities.
