They may not know, however, that recent studies have estimated that the global food and agriculture system is responsible for around 1/3 of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. Rosenberg’s book “Farming for Our Future: The Science, Law, and Policy of Climate-Neutral Agriculture.” The authors survey the legal and policy landscape and make recommendations for reforms needed to address the climate crisis. This panel looks at this topic from a California lens, looking at global and national developments in California’s legal and policy context.
