Esports: Economics and Legal Issues
Intellectual Property Law Section; Licensing & Technology Transactions Interest Group
The webinar will discuss the rapid growth of the esports industry and its current and projected economics, with a focus on how games are monetized, and how revenue is shared or generated between publishers, organizations, esports teams and players. Additionally, we will address how relevant intellectual property is created, used, licensed, and protected both vertically and horizontally, and will include a detailed discussion and analysis of esports player contracts and the rights and obligations related thereto.
