What You Need to Know About Trust Accounting to Protect Your License
2023 has ushered in material changes to Rule of Professional Conduct 1.15 concerning an attorney’s duties for safeguarding third party funds. This program will explain the genesis of the new CTAPP Program and detail what attorneys are required to do to remain in full compliance with their duties to notify clients of receipt of client or third party funds, and to promptly pay out client or third party funds.
The program will also cover the logistics for how to manage a client trust account and what software an attorney needs to properly track deposits and disbursements from the client trust account.
