The pressure has never been greater on employers to disclose pay and workforce data, declare pay equity and demonstrate substantive progress towards enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts. Activist shareholders and institutional investors are making increased demands for disclosure and transparency, and shareholders are filing lawsuits alleging companies fell short of DEI and pay equity commitments.  At the same time, more states and cities (including CA and NY) are passing unprecedented pay and workplace transparency laws that require employers to affirmatively disclose information about compensation and promotions, and the rise of the ESG movement further adds to the incentives employers face when it comes to publicizing DEI and pay equity data.
