The Future is the Metaverse, but Privacy Risks are Now!; Inaugural Annual Privacy Summit
Focus on the “metaverse” and the development of immersive tech will only increase in 2023, with the planned introduction of Apple’s long-awaited AR and VR products, developments at Meta, and continued expansion of platforms like Roblox that are already bringing users into virtual spaces. As these technologies proliferate, regulatory scrutiny will undoubtedly increase and privacy issues are expected to be front and center.
