The upcoming November elections will determine the direction of federal air and climate regulation, for example by allowing for the consideration of new climate legislation and regulation or setting the stage for further Clean Air Act deregulation. This panel will discuss potential effects of the election on current litigation over air and climate rollbacks; on legislative efforts in this area; and on new regulatory initiatives, including the highest-likelihood targets for further deregulation under another Republican administration. The goal of the panel is to give practitioners a preview of federal air and climate developments in 2021, whichever way the election goes.
