How to Ethically Avoid a Fee Dispute: Happily, Get Paid
Whether we are serving as an advocate lawyer or mediator, we all need to feed our families and pay our staff! We must be paid in a timely manner to survive in business, and at the same time follow the ethical rules of professional responsibility for fees and billing. This program will give you insights from one who has mediated hundreds of attorneys-client fee disputes.
Clients want to know what they are paying for, why and how they are being charged, and they do not want surprises! When we address our clients’ concerns, educate them about the process, keep them informed, and bill them fairly and in a timely manner, they will be more likely to pay their bills without a dispute.
Mari will show how to ethically avoid a fee dispute and help you to get paid without a costly time-consuming, (embarrassing) California State Bar arbitration.
