There's never a quiet day in the world of data privacy. If it's not a country announcing their brand new privacy law, then it's a state passing a new comprehensive privacy law, or the federal government proposing a new federal privacy bill. Sectoral privacy laws are still around, but comprehensive privacy bills are certainly taking the limelight since the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation has hit the center stage. Join us as Emma Smizer of Frankfurt Kurnit and Yulian Kolarov of Procopio provide an overview of the current legal and regulatory data privacy landscape. They will explain how the current legal framework has evolved and how the many requirements can be incorporated into a comprehensive privacy program.
