This webinar will discuss the California Rules of Professional Conduct (Rules) that create the most challenges for estate planning lawyers ranging from client engagement letters, competence, compensation, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, advance conflict waivers and capacity issues. Also learn about updates to the Rules such as the duty of technology competence, civility and mandatory reporting rules and COPRAC’s formal opinion No. 13-0002 addressing the ethical obligations of a lawyer for a client with diminished mental capacity.
