Many lawyers find the practice of law intolerable. It’s simply stinks. “So why don’t you leave it,” they say. “Why not find another job?” Well, they don’t know what they’re talking about. For most lawyers, switching careers simply isn’t an option. We have bills to pay and mouths to feed. The only answer is to find some way to make it tolerable. Stuart Teicher wrote a book that’s designed to do just that — help lawyers who hate the law find some way to get though the misery of the practice. Interestingly, those lessons come from the ethics rules. Join “the CLE Performer” as he explains how the rules of attorney ethics provide a roadmap for tolerating the profession.  Each attendees also gets a copy of his ebook, “How to Stop Hating the Law."

    Topics include:
    - The role of the “Grand Troika” of the ethics code — Rules 1.1, 1.3, and 1.4
    - Why being an advisor is a gift to lawyers — Rule 2.1
    - How avoiding “parentalism” can help a lawyer and the client — Rule 1.2
