2019 CLA Annual Meeting - Professional Responsibility in California: Past, Present and Future
Lawyers in California have experienced significant changes in the past couple of years. New Rules of Professional Conduct became effective November 1, 2018. The State Bar of California spun out the Sections and Young Lawyers Association in order to focus exclusively on public protection. This presentation will introduce the California Lawyers Associations new Legal Ethics Committee and explore what these changes, and others, portend for the practice of law in California.
