Lyrical Lessons from Taylor Swift: An Ethics Program

Taylor Swift’s songs aren’t just artistic masterpieces, they are ethics masterpieces too! Join the CLE Performer Stuart Teicher as he reviews select lyrics from Taylor’s songs and shows how they illustrate lessons from the Rules of Professional Conduct. And yes, this is different from Stuart’s OTHER Taylor Swift program. Songs (and lessons) include:

- “I did something bad” and the prohibition on assisting in a client fraud - Rule 1.2(d)

- “Blank Space” and how even the messiest of stories in the lawyer/client relationship need to be kept confidential – Rule 1.6

- “Look what you made me do” and the frustration (and obligations) lawyers have when being manipulated by clients – Rule 2.1
