The NEW Copyright (Small) Claims Board: How it works and what it means for your clients
The Copyright Claims Board (CCB) is an alternative forum to federal court to resolve copyright disputes up to $30,000 (called “small claims”). The CCB opened its doors in June 2022, and this webinar is designed to provide the foundation for bringing or responding to a claim before the CCB, including: · The purpose and features of the CCB; · The steps of a CCB proceeding; · Preparing a claim for the CCB; · Considering whether to participate or opt-out; and, · Resources supporting CCB participants.
