Join us for a timely discussion of evolving litigation against social media companies. Joe McNally, current Director of Emerging Litigation at McNicholas and McNicholas and former Acting United States Attorney, will examine key cases---such as K.G.M. v. Meta et al. in Los Angeles Superior Court and People of the State of California, et al. v. Meta Platforms, Inc. pending in the Northern District of California---and the broader legal and policy issues they raise, including examining Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996, platform risk mitigation, causation in mental health and addiction cases, and the potential for criminal liability arising from investigations of platform conduct.
