Symposium on Virtual & Hybrid Trial Proceedings: Powerfully Pitched Presentations
Law Practice Management & Technology Section; Solo & Small Firm Section
Virtual & hybrid trials require a heightened emphasis on visual communication. Lawyers can be more successful in trial by effectively using graphics to communicate how evidence might be interrelated, to display timelines & progressions, and to break down elements in a crime scene.
This presentation will teach the basics of creating and delivering a successful presentation in support of attorneys and/or witnesses. We will begin with the basic elements of story development and work our way through initial template creation, simple design tips and an introduction to PowerPoint production.
Next, we will introduce you to the concepts of proper protocol for working with a trial presentation technician. This includes best practices for file types, scouting the venue for equipment layout and practicing with your trial team. Attendees will learn:
How to organize your story
Introduction to design and PPT production
Working with a trial technician
