Land use and environmental planning affect all members in a community. Now and into the future, the changing demographics in California are making it more important to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the land use and environmental planning and decision-making processes. This panel will discuss the challenges in engaging community members and increasing all voices in those contexts, from the perspectives of this panel of non-profit and government professionals. We will also discuss how organizations and entities can implement the goals of increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in those processes.
