The first comprehensive revisions to the California Rules of Professional Conduct in 29 years take effect November 1, 2018. An expert panel will discuss new and revised rules governing: lawyer advertising; referral fees; conflicts of interest; representing clients with diminished capacities; harassment, discrimination and retaliation; advising or assisting the violation of law; trial publicity; and sexual relations with clients.
