As Gate Keepers of Justice, attorneys should select jurors without stereotyping and guard against actual and implicit bias when deciding who will serve on a jury trial. Yet jury selection can itself be an exercise in stereotypes and bias. This panel will discuss considerations in civil and criminal jury selection including an update on new legislation passed and recent published cases.
