Sentencing. How do you calculate a maximum sentence? How do strikes work? What’s the “1/3 the midterm” rule? How do I know where my client will do his/her time? Will there be post-sentence supervision afterwards? This webinar will provide you the basic sentencing rules you need to be able to handle most sentencing situations. You will learn about sentencing triads, the Three Strikes Law, how to calculate determinate sentences with multiple consecutive counts, how to know where the client will serve their sentence, and whether they will be supervised afterwards.
