DEU Rater Travis Tucker will cover Chapters 9 and 16 of the AMA Guides. Chapter 9 will cover impairments of the hematopoietic system including HIV, thrombotic disorders, anemia, and blood cell disease.

The Chapter 16 discussion will focus on strength impairment including grip loss, and common conditions which may serve as an objective basis for rating loss of strength separately e.g., post-surgical epicondylitis, severe muscle tear, and rotator cuff tear, etc.  Learn under what circumstances the AMA Guides permits rating strength loss.  This presentation will provide an overview of other impairments which may or may not be combinable with strength.  Can a physician use grip loss under Almaraz and if so how will DEU rate the impairment?  To obtain the answer to this question and many more sign up for this dynamic webinar on how to properly rate upper extremity and hematopoietic injuries.

Whether attorney, physician, claims examiner or lay person you can gain an increased understanding of the Guides.  Since knowledge is power, the more you understand about the Guides the better you can use them for your benefit
