Solo and small firm practitioners may feel like they're going off the deep end trying to balance the RPC, ethical obligations, running a law firm, and having a life outside the practice. This presentation will keep them afloat by teaching how to be proactive in achieving professional goals, while mitigating against the risk of bar complaints. Featuring a focus on fee agreements, shared office space, emergency situations, and reputation management.

David Majchrzak
David M. Majchrzak is a seasoned ethicist, civil litigator, and certified specialist by the State Bar of California in legal malpractice law, is rated AV®-Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been recognized in Super Lawyers. He is a shareholder, who works primarily out of Klinedinst PC’s San Diego office, serves as the firm’s Deputy General Counsel, and chairs the firm’s writing committee and attorney training college. Mr. Majchrzak represents clients in matters involving attorney and law firm risk management, discipline defense, and legal malpractice claims. And he has served as an expert on legal ethics issues. He co-chairs California Lawyers Association’s inaugural Ethics Committee, is the immediate past chair of San Diego County Bar Association’s Legal Ethics Committee, and serves on the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
Renee Nichole Stackhouse
Renee is the Founder of Stackhouse, APC, where she focuses on plaintiff’s personal injury and military defense. She is a past president of California Women Lawyers, as well as San Diego La Raza Lawyers and has a passion for advancing women -specifically women of color- in the law.
