2020 Annual Meeting: Is Big Brother is Watching? Public Records Act and Privacy Update
This advanced course on privacy in an ever-changing world more reliant on gathering data from individuals will explore the collection of data by automated license plate readers; the collection and storage of video media, including drones and police body cameras. Other considerations include contact tracing and other methods to control the spread of COVID-19. Participants will learn the exceptions to producing data collected through new technology and effective approaches to managing large amounts of data.
