2020 Annual Meeting: The New Green Legal Cannabis Rush: Is it For Everyone?
Since the Passage of Propositions 215 and 64, there has been a myriad of new laws and regulations passed relating to Cannabis. Far from is start as a black market drug, cannabis is considered an essential service during recent COVID-19 closures. Full compliance with applicable requirements is far more complex than any other agricultural commodity. This panel will provide a brief overview of state and local land use and permitting requirements. The panel will also explore special issues pertaining to cannabis developments in urban landscapes, and how enforcement on non-licensed participants may disproportionately impact minority communities.
